Description
This is an excellent Fluorite-Barite specimen from the Clara Mine in Germany’s Black Forest. Some Fluorite crystals are water-clear and sharp with a vitreous luster while others are coated with black, mat metallic Limonite. Both kinds are perched on tabular Barite that is Limonite-covered as well. This has always been the most coveted combination of the mine. If you want to significantly improve the specimen, use a toothpick or something similar and pry off the thin black Limonite film on some Fluorite cubes. Or just leave it as is.
