Description

This very fine specimen with Galena and Chalcopyrite with exceptional aesthetics. This is piece far better in person than the pictures show. A main cluster consisting of brassy-yellow, slightly tarnished and somewhat distorted Chalcopyrite crystals, slightly dusted with tiny, lead-grey, matt-metallic Galena crystals. They are typically perched on beige, tabular and beautifully lustrous Siderite and are associated with a smaller Chalcopyrite "cousins". Minor imperfections are barely visible to the unaided eye. The Georg Mine has been closed for almost 60 years and turned into a tourist attraction, and top specimens were already in demand back then, hardly any specimens of this quality are on the market anymore.
