Description

A wonderful cone of kidney-shaped, warty Limonite from Bayerland Mine near Waldsassen in Upper Palatinate. A very sculptural and aesthetical specimen with fine silky luster and very minor bruising what is hard to see to the naked eye. Such stuff is rarely seen for sale on the mineral market and even locals cannot provide it anymore. One reason is for sure, that this old iron mine was abandoned in 1971 and only a few specimens trickled out since those days.
