Description

This is a very rich specimen of the very rare Bismuth Vanadate Pucherite from the TYPE LOCALITY where it was found in the late 19th century: the Pucher Shaft of the Wolfgangmaaßen ore district in Schneeberg, Saxony. The specimen is very plentifully covered on both sides with brown Pucherite microcrystals with a great glassy luster. Even at low magnification you can see the sharp edges and translucency of the crystals. Since the mine has been abandoned may decades ago, such rich specimens rarely come onto the market. This is an ideal specimen for collectors of both rarities as well as classics!
