Description

This is a fairly massive piece of Nickel ore. It consists of both pale copper-red masses of Nickeline and gray Chloanthite (Nickelskutterudite). Light green Annabergite abundantly coats the front and back of the specimen. A highly interesting and super rare Nickel ore specimen from the Richelsdorf District from 1948. The specimen was housed in the Loorz collection, Bockswiese, Harz and comes with a nicely handwritten historic label that states Annanbergite (Nickelblüte) on Weiß[nickelkies] (Skutterudite) and Nickeline (Rotnickelkies) from the Schnepfenbach Mine, Riechelsdorf.
