Description

A wonderful and attractive miniature-sized Calcite specimen with prismatic, scalenohedral crystals with typically “flattened” triangular terminations. The crystals, measuring approximately 2 cm tall, have a stunningly high luster, are absolutely sharp and perfect, and on top of that, show an exciting clarity and gemminess. Furthermore, this very aesthetic specimen is graced on the side with two Calcite crystals that are brick red in color; colored by hematite, which is typical for the Stank Mine which worked iron (Hematite) deposits from 1871 until 1901. A classic Calcite specimen from a classic Cumbrian locality!
