Description

The venerable Wheal Gorland Mine near St. Day in Cornwall, which was abandoned in the early 1900s, produced some of the region´s most impressive specimens. The mine is also responsible a fairly large number of very excellent Olivenite specimens in a variety of sizes; such as this miniature-sized beauty with its wonderful aesthetics. It consists of sprays of spherical, dark olive green sparkling crystal aggregates made up of sharp Olivenite crystals. When viewed from the side, the crystal clusters have a more radial structure and a lighter olive green color. Such rich and aesthetic Cornwall Olivenite is rare on the market and are accordingly sought after.
