Description

An excellent, sculptural cluster of the relatively rare Silver halide Chlorargyrite. It shows a partly massive, partially crystalline habit, which is typical for Broken Hill. The slightly curved crystals have a faint yolk yellow color and a warty surface. This is an excellent specimen with Cerussite clusters on the back. BTW, Chlorargyrite from the Australian Broken Hill deposit usually has a significant Bromine content. Doesn´t it look like a coral or a sponge?
