Who is aware of Cornish Opal? I think only very few of us are, and I was all eyes when I was offered two pieces of Cornish Opal. The first specimen, the one you are looking at, is a massive glassy piece with partial bluish-violet and egg yolk-yellow colors with a nice play of color. This piece has an excellent vitreous luster and the conchoidal fracture, typical for Quartz species. Definitely a rare and very beautiful piece, very aesthetic, and obviously from finds in the 1970s.
