Description

This is a classic Kaiserstuhl Garnet specimen from the 1970s: Sharp, black-brown crystals of Melanite (an Andradite variety) with a vitreous luster are up to 2 mm in size. A top contrast to the whitish matrix. Today Kirchberg is a protected area, and entry is strictly limited.
