Description

A very outstanding miniature specimen which is very richly covered with well-defined hexagonal Nickeline crystals. Nickeline is in itself an uncommon Nickel Arsenate, but is extremely rare in euhedral crystals. The copper shale deposits of Eisleben with their hydrothermal Barite veins with Copper-Nickel ore, is famous for Nickeline specimens, however, crystallized representatives of the species from Eisleben are very rare and sought-after. The Nickeline crystals here have an unusually high metallic luster, they are sharp, and have that slightly reddish golden tint. The association with cream-white Barite gives the specimen more contrast and additional aesthetics. TOP
