Description

Here we see the big brother of the previous Specimen (#4218). A large and rich, slightly more massive specimen of the relatively rare Millerite nickel sulfide with the display face covered with dense, velvety needle-like crystals with a distinct greenish brassy color and beautiful metallic luster. Two puffballs, about centimeters in diameter, consisting of radially arranged bursts of acicular crystals are perched on this specimen. Just like the previous specimen, this piece was found in the late 1990s. Another example of a great and classic Canadian material from the Thompson mine.
