Description

A large and rich specimen of relatively rare Millerite, a Nickel sulphide. The display side is densely covered with radiating and jackstraw clusters of velvety metallic acicular Millerite crystals, greenish brass-yellow in color and with an iridescent tarnish and beautiful metallic luster. This piece was found in the late 1990s and specimens found in that period have now all but disappeared from the market. Great and classic Canadian material from the Thompson Mine, an open pit nickel mine only opened in 1986.
