Description

Numerous multifaced and deep-red to black coloured crystals of Pyrargyrite nestled in vug which is coated with glistening metallic Safflorite. The metallic luster is excellent and the largest crystal measures ~ 1cm in lenght. The luster on a few of the larger Pyrargyrites perfectly and also richly perched a bit more exposed on the left side of the specimen is more superb, almost mirror-like, and these particular crystals are sharp and well striated as well. A stunning and super aesthetic, classic old specimen from the famous Samson Mine of St. Andreasberg in the Harz Mountains which is much better in person, and almost certainly pre-dates the 1890´s - 1910s.
