Description
This is a super specimen from the Hungarian locality Gyöngyösoroszi (say that three times fast!). Typical calcite crystals up to almost 3 cm with the characteristic cannon spar [Kanonenspat] habit: short prismatic, with a pinacoid termination. The color is a pristine colorless to white, the luster is vitreous. A killer piece all the way, from a find from the 1980s. Previously relatively common, now rare!
