Look at this very excellent matrix specimen from the former "K & K Monarchie Österreich-Ungarn”, now the court/government of Habsburg, formerly Austria-Hungary: Beautiful thick dendritic aggregate of native Copper on matrix. The native Copper has a wonderful green patina and is prominently perched on tiny brownish Calcite rhombohedrons. Good historic specimens from the classic old mines of Rudabanya in Hungary are extremely rare, come exclusively from old collections and are therefore highly sought after. This is definitely a top specimen from the famous Andrássy I Mine which has been abandoned and reclaimed for many decades.
