Description
In March 1997, such pieces came to the market for the first time on local mineral shows in southern Germany and were offered by my friends from the Greek Kapellas family. Shortly afterwards I had the opportunity to visit the hair-raising dangerous place with them. This area of the Hilarion Mine produced very outstanding sky-blue pointy Calcite crystals, the color of which is caused by finely dispersed Cuproadamite. This is a super specimen and a classic for the Greek mining region of Lavrion.
