Description
This is a rare locality piece. An Apatite crystal from Sakri, a quarry in the Nuapada Lamproite field in the coastal state of Odisha in eastern India. A 3 cm tall single crystal, green with a faint blue hue. The crystal form is a little bit distorted however, one can still make out the hexagonal symmetry. The piece is gemmy with a matt resinous luster, in theory gem rough, but who would want to destroy a perfect specimen?
