Description
A cluster of WATER clear, transparent Calcite crystals with modified scalenohedrons somewhere between a stout scalenohedron and a slightly elongated rhombohedron. The crystals display a vitreous luster with sharp egdes, and are perched on matrix. The main crystals on this small cabinet-sized specimen are all undamaged. And as expected, the crystals fluoresce under long wave ultra-violet light. A uniquely aesthetic specimen from a Mexican locality that was discovered in 2000 by José Maria Patoni, a local farmer searching for optical calcite.
