Description
This is an excellent piece of splendent, acicular crystals of Pyrolusite to 3,3 cm, as diverging, radiating sprays on granite matrix, forming an extremely showy specimen from the Gremmelsbach area of the Black Forest, Germany. This kind of crystals are sharp edged and they are showing a high metallic sheen. This kind of pieces where found in the 1970s and they are not comparable with the recent find of more delicate crystals. These are more stout and impressive. Terminations are largely unknown at this locale.
