Description
What an incredibly precise and sharp pseudomorph of Hematite after Calcite! Super sharp Calcite scalenohedrons up to 1.7 cm tall are replaced by brick red Hematite with a matt luster. Small black-metallic sparkling metallic Hematite covers select crystal face and spaces between the scaleohedrons. A very fine and aesthetic specimen from a historic iron mine with an incredibly long history of operations: from the 9th century until its closure in 1871. Sadly now a Nature Reserve, and collecting is strictly prohibited.
