Description
This is an excellent locality piece from Ramsbeck, a historic German Lead-Zinc mining district where intermittent mining activity is recorded since 10th and 11th centuries all the way up to the mid 1970s when the last mine was closed. Brass yellow Pyrite crystals up to 0.7 cm with slight tarnishing colors make up a tower-shaped aggregate, on a bed of light beige-colored Dolomite crystals. A classic German piece from a deposit where all mines are closed except for a tourist mine. The dumps have largely been removed or reclaimed.
