Description
A Calcite specimen with beautiful, partly twin Calcite crystals perched on Calcite from the classic Czech mining district Příbram. The main crystal is pristine and measures over 4 cm. It is sharp with a very light amber color and a vitreous luster. And all that from a mining district that dates back to Celtic times (ca. 1200 B.C.) The first commodity mined was Silver, later Lead-Zinc ores, and after WWII uranium until the mines of the district closed by 1991.
