Description

A German specimen covered with hundreds short prismatic Quartz crystals with a faint amethystine hue. Sharp crystals with a vitreous luster ... a most widely pristine specimen from a mine in the state of Bavaria which has been closed after years of struggle with the ore reserves in early 1975. One of the shafts was taken over by the Hermine Mine (closed in 1987) and used for dewatering purposes while the above ground processing facility processed imported ore until it was sold to Thailand.
