Description
A very attractive combination of Carbonate minerals Dolomite and Calcite, both well crystallized and lustrous, from the Lead-Zinc deposit of the Romanian Herja Mine that was mined for centuries. The snow-white Calcite cluster to almost 2 cm are perched on beige-brown aggregates of Dolomite rhombohedrons. Upon close inspection, Shalerite crystals are nestled between the Dolomite.
An undamaged specimen from finds in the 1980s, not long before the entire network of mines in the region was permanently closed in 2005, and left to be reclaimed by nature.
