Description
A hexagonal Molybdenite aggregate with over 1 cm in diameter and a characteristic metallic luster perched on matrix. The specimen impresses with great contrast and aesthetics.
Until its closure in 2000, the Kingsgate mineral field has been the largest molybdenum & bismuth producer in Australia´s state of New South Wales. Chances of more interesting new finds are nil as the entire Kingsgate mining field has subdivided into small acreage housing lots in the 2020s.
