Description
Here we have an excellent specimen of prismatic three faced terminated crystals (nail head habit) of Calcite from the Gyöngyösoroszi mining area in Hungary. Lustrous colourless to white prismatic Calcite crystals measure to 5,0 cm tall perched on a specimen lined with a carpet of tiny Calcite "cousins". All Calcite crystals are sharp edged and partly gemmy as well. An almost pristine ( one broken off crystal ) and unusually fine specimen for this locality, now long-defunct. A wonderful and classic piece of "English Quality."
