Description
In the late 1970s and early 1980s this pocket was the most frequented cleft of the whole mining system of Tannenboden and Anton Mine near Wieden in Black Forest. I don´t know, why this pocket was named "Affenkluft"; the German name for monkey pocket in englisch. However, here we have an excellent piece with two major Fluorite cubes to over 6,5 cm on edge. They are nicely covered with bladed, pale burnt-orange-brown coloured Baryte crystals. Most pieces of this pocket were rather unappealing and clunky, despite the huge sizes of the Fluorite crystals. But not so this one; an elegant, almost complete combination piece with sharp and almost transparent crystals and wonderfully contrasted Baryte blades. MUCH BETTER IN PERSON
