Description
Here we have a nicely twinned cluster of gemmy, pale amber coloured Calcite from Sokolovskoe Mine of Rudny in Kazakhstan. They are sharp edged, GEMMY and highly lustrous with only minor edge wear. In the mid 1990s, a virtual flood of these sharp, twinned Calcites came out of this former Russian Republic and to market, many at very affordable prices. Nowadays they almost disappeared from the scene and became crazy expensive. And this is a neat piece with good aesthetics.
