Description
A large cabinet sized plate, loaded with finest superbly defined and gemmy Calcite crystals from the classic German locality St. Andreasberg of Harz Mountains without any specific mine. The crystals here are very sharp edged and mirror bright with excellent "Mercedes-Star"- shaped terminations. Only minor imperfection at the periphery, the center is pristine. A classic and aesthetic piece, probably from the late 1800s.
