Description
Here we have a superb Quartz specimen from classic Bavarian locale Johanneszeche of Göpfersgrün. This locality was famous for its great Steatite pseudomorphoses after Quartz, Calcite and others. But here we have an unusual Quartz specimen with distinctive, multiple faceted "skeletal-growth". The single faces are very sharp edged, highly lustrous and transparent to gemmy. No imperfection at the display side so far I can see and on the backside are just contacts with the rock. Excellent material from this since decades abandoned locality. Ex Robert Jakob collection.
