Description
This is a fine specimen with numerous spheroidal clusters of fibrous, light blue, relatively rare Plancheite, accompanied by green, glassy Malachite and glistening gemmy Quartz. Plancheite is a rare copper silicate and in this case the locality is not the Congo or Kaokoveld. It´s the Rodgerberg Mine near Guchab which was from 1919 to 1931 under construction and is well known for its good Dioptase specimens,- and good Plancheite pieces like this as well. The specimen comes with an antique Maucher label.
