Description

An incredibly perfect and from a collector’s standpoint interesting perimorph of cream-white Dolomite after presumably Tarnowitzite; a Dolomite cast over (now dissolved) Tarnowitzite, which is an Aragonite variety. The shape of the latter is preserved in hollow cavities on the back of the specimen. The icing on the cake is a dusting of highly sparkling Cerussite crystals along a crystal edge as well as within the cast. This is really excellent material from the collection of Peter Döring, former foreman in the Tsumeb Mine in the 1960s and 1970s.
