Here we have a superb on both sides nicely formed Domite (cast) after Calcite from the famous Namibian locale Tsumeb Mine ( Tsumcorp Mine ) By the way way, this name is the shortened form of TSUmeb CORPoration Mine. Cobaltoan minerals from Tsumeb like Calcite, Dolomite and Smithsonite all acquire a pink colour due to trace amounts of cobalt in them as they formed in the extremely complex geologic environment of this famous mine. They are among the most colorful minerals period, aside from them just being Tsumeb Classics. And this is a great display sized specimen, not seen from anywhere else in the world. A so-called cast, preserving the original shape of complex Calcite crystals but transformed into pink Dolomite. As little bonus we will find tiny, lime-green Duftite crystals on the backside what makes this great and colourful specimen way more dramatics and aesthetics.
