Description

This specimen is a wonderful Anglesite miniature from the world-famous mineral locality, the Tsumeb Mine in Namibia. A magnificent, 2.1 cm large and water-clear Anglesite crystal of gem quality sits very well exposed and excellently balanced on a matrix on smaller Anglesite crystals of the same quality. All the crystals have in common an excellent vitreous luster and well-developed crystal faces, some with interesting (natural etching?) features. Anglesite is a species that is relatively rare in Tsumeb, especially in good crystals like on this specimen. Minimal bruising on one edge, which is actually hardly worth mentioning, doesn´t distract from the overall aesthetic in any way. This is definitely a top specimen!
