Description

This magnificent and very colorful Smithsonite specimen comes in a variety of shades of green: from apple green to mint green. The typically triangular to lens-shaped crystals reach 4mm in length form botryoidal clusters that are grouped into an excellent hemispherical specimen. Specimens of Copper-bearing Smithsonite from the Namibian Tsumeb Mine are quite rare, and colorful and aesthetic specimens like this one are highly sought after by collectors. This specimen was most likely recovered in the 1970s and such pieces are now rarely seen.
