Description

This is a splendend specimen of relatively large, platy, pseudo-hexagonal Ephesite crystals to 1 cm, richly set on minor steel gray manganese matrix,- something you almost never see for sale. This piece is notable with its richly clustered, dark pink-red, individual and intergrown crystals of this rare lithium sodium aluminum layer silicate covering almost the whole display face. This is definitely an extraordinary specimen from the Gloucester Farm locality and a good display specimen as well. This rarity was found in the late 1970s or early 1980s and not since; the locality ceased mining in the 1980´s.
