Description

This is a wonderful cluster with excellent formed, amber-brown and gemmy, nicely twinned Cassiterite crystals up to 2,6 cm from Viloco. The historic and world class tin mines at Viloco have produced some of the best Cassiterite specimens known and this is one of it. It is unusual to find a specimen with twins of this size from Viloco, and this piece probably dates back close to when some of the finest Cassiterites were mined there in the early 1900s. For the size, it is in excellent condition with exceptional sharpness and twinning and it has among the best luster and clarity we have seen on one of these old survivors.
