Description

What an excellent Quartz-Sphalerite specimen from the Peruvian Mundo Nuevo Mine in the La Libertad Department! Slender, long prismatic Quartz crystals up to 2 cm tall are transparent with a vitreous luster. They sport a slightly flattened habit and create a superb contrast to the black and Sphalerite crystals with their metallic luster. Two pairs Japanese twins one the specimen are particularly noticeable. A highly aesthetic and contrast-rich specimen!
