Description

Look at this large, heavy and aesthetic Galena specimen from Bleiberg in Carinthia. Clusters of octahedral lead gray Galena crystals up to an impressive size of 3.8 cm and with a metallic luster are dotted with clusters of brown, crystallized Siderite spherules and white Barite roses. If you look closely, you will also discover a number of brass-yellow, slightly tarnished Pyrite crystals. This is an absolute Austrian classic from the old Bleiberg mines (now Bad Bleiberg) that were closed at the end of the 1980s. A piece with excellent aesthetic appeal that is rarely offered today.
