Description

Good Fluorites specimen from the Böckstein area, especially the gneiss clefts of the Stubnerkogel above Bad Gastein are usually quite rare and sought after. Having a relatively large specimen with translucent, light green octahedra of 2.2 cm on edge is something noteworthy. They have a good adamantine luster, extremely sharp edges and, they are undamaged except for a small section in the lower periphery of the piece. Definitely a classic and top specimen from the Austrian Alps. It was found in the late 1960s, and specimens such as this one has disappeared from the collector’s market. Unfortunately, the photos do not reflect the beauty and three-dimensionality of the crystals as it should; this specimen is much better in person!
