Description

Specimens with native Lead are probably one of the rarest and most sought-after collectibles among the elements, although it is admittedly not one of the most attractive. This, however, IS very attractive matrix specimen with a 4.3 cm large Lead cluster, which consists of slightly rounded crystals up to over 1 cm. Definitely a very rich and, given the circumstances described above, very aesthetic specimen with light gray crystals, with a typical matt luster, perched on a carbonate matrix. The Långban Mine where this specimen is from was in operation from 1711 until it was closed in 1972 and good specimens from this site are now extremely rare and hard to find.
