Description

This fine and colourful piece features a solid drapery of well developed and partly multifaced crystals of Cobaltoan-Smithsonite, the pink varietal of this sought Tsumeb species. The crystals here are gemmy and good terminated with sharp edges and they completely covering the entire matrix. They have a very good pink colour as well, excellent luster, and classic curved-rhombohedral habit. The Smithsonites crystal size is just over 1 cm on edge, and there is no imperfection so far I can see to the naked eye. An excellent, representative specimen of one of the most desirable of species from Tsumeb. Comes with a high quality acrylic base.
