Description
A stunning, contrastful specimen of Dioptase from Tsumeb in Namibia. Here we have numerous of excellent defined, sharp and gemmy crystals scattered over a matrix of sparkly Calcite crystals. When it comes to Dioptase, there is no locality greater or more prolific than Tsumeb for quantity and quality. This specimen exhibits the top emerald-green colour (impossible to replicate in photos) that made these specimens so famous and a superb luster as well. The crystals themselves, despite a few minor "rubs" are in very good condition overall, and even pass light when backlit. They final touch to these sharp, lustrous trigonal crystals is the fact that they are sitting on a mound on classic contrasting white Calcite matrix. Top in aesthetics.
