Description

Cacoxenite is an uncommon iron-aluminium-phosphate and the Leonie mine near Auerbach in Bavaria is one of THE classic German localities for the species. This mine was abandoned in 1988 and consequently good items like this one became uncommon and sought. Here we have intense yolk-yellow fibrous sprays richly perched on typical matrix. A top specimen.
