Description
Tetradymite is an uncommon bismuth, tellurium sulfosalt, and this exceptional specimen for the rare species is from the venerable old mining area at Caldbeck Fells in Cumbria. This choice cluster measures full 6 mm in diameter, and it has a bright, silvery, metallic luster. Very difficult to say if this are crystal faces of cleavages but considering all specimens I have seen over the years I rather tend to crystal faces. Such specimens are so rare and hard to come by,- and the numbers that are asked for comparable pieces are insane. A super opportunity to get hold of such a rare specimen.
