Description
The milky translucent Calcite crystals on this British specimen from the Blackdene Mine crystallized in the so-called “Kanonenspat” (Canon Spar) habit. Prismatic crystals with six-sided cross sections, and flat terminations. The crystals are up to 2.2 cm, sharp, and perched on Calcite matrix. By now they have become pretty rare!
