Description
This is a relatively large Sweetwater Mine specimen with Calcite crystals to 4.1 cm tall. They display the typical prismatic “Cannon Spar” habit with triangular “Nailhead” terminations. The crystals are sharp, translucent, and with a delicate honey yellow color. Golden Pyrite and brassy Chalcopyrite is the “cement” that holds the specimen together. An interesting feature is the partial green coloration of some of the smaller Calcites. While most of the Calcite crystals are perfect, one of them has a visible cleave on the back.
