Description
Normally, this specimen would be labeled as Quartz and Brookite. In this case, however, I call it a Brookite specimen, because we have several gorgeous Brookite crystals, the largest measuring almost 1 cm. They have the typical wafer thin, tabular habit, they are translucent, brown with a great adamantine luster, and, they show a beautiful hourglass structure. They are perched between Quartz crystals of various sizes. These are mostly perfect, very translucent with milky-white sections. Some of the crystals have a delicate greenish color (Chlorite inclusions?) at the base. A very aesthetic and well balance specimen!
