Description

You are looking at a beautiful cluster of reddish brown, translucent, highly lustrous, tabular Brookite crystals. A perfect main crystal well over 2 cm tall is surrounded by a tangle of smaller crystals, and all that is perched on small Quartz crystals. The intergrown Brookite crystals of the tangle are beautiful, but not always perfect: An unfortunate fact of life of a fragile mineral species. All Brookite specimens included in this update come from a find from the early 2000s. Due to the relative fragility of the freestanding Brookite crystals, they are cast in a special water-soluble resin for protection before they are shipped.
